(Questions will be added to this on an on-going basis.)

Great questions are like video game cheat codes. They help you see around corners. They help you better understand what you and other players will do. Sometimes, great questions allow you to skip a level. Great questions give you the perspective needed to see an old reality in a new light.

Cheat codes make difficult parts of the game easier and ultimately enable you to achieve more. Great questions should that, too.  Here are a few great questions to ask yourself. Like cheat codes, use them and then share on Reddit so your friend's can achieve new high scores.

  • What would it take? Ask this whenever faced with a seemingly ludicrous idea. Allow your mind to play with the possibilities of how, not if.
  • How do I know I'm right? Ask this whenever you feel certainty about a decision that has consequences. Alternatively, ask this when you are stubbornly arguing a point.
  • What would this look like if it were easy? Ask this when you're frustrated by how difficult something seems to be.
  • What are my assumptions and how can I test them? Ask this often, about most things in your life.
  • How would I explain this to a 5 year old? Ask this when learning complex topics. You'll find it forces you to simplify the new ideas.
  • What’s accurate and what's my confidence level? Ask this when feeling certain about any topic. Assign a number to your confidence and you assign a number to your doubt. Then, act accordingly.
  • What's the opportunity here? Ask this when you're alone, able to choose between distraction or focus. Ask this also in a group when the background noise is loud and the direction is unclear. Said differently, everything that happens to you, happens for you.
  • Does this decision get me closer to, or further from, my goals? Ask this about any decision. You'll quickly have your answer.

Ask often, level up, beat Bowser.
